My 50's Custom
1956 Chevy Bel-Air Hardtop

I did this car a number of years ago. I wanted to capture the way it was done when I was a kid. I didn't have a lot of money so I did things that customized the car but didn't cost a lot. Things like the tube grill, lakes pipes, bucket seats, Guages up on the dash, wide whites (usually porta walls back then), chrome reverse wheels, and lowering the car all around. However I added some modern technology to this one underneath. It has a new ZZ4 Chevy engine, dropped spindles, 305 steering box, new rear suspension, sway bars, etc. It drives nice, no roll or sway in the corners. It has a B/W Super T-10 4 speed transmission and A/C for comfort. I love to drive this one. The paint is a little stressed now but I leave it alone for that same old look it would have had back then.
